NCA Student Caucus Travel Grant

In support of its commitment to promoting diversity within the Communication discipline, NCA offers travel grants for student members of NCA’s caucuses (Asian/Pacific American Caucus, Black Caucus, Caribbean Communication Caucus, Disability Issues Caucus, Caucus on LGBTQ Concerns, Indigenous Caucus, La Raza Caucus, South West Asian/North African, Middle East Caucus, or Women’s Caucus) to attend the Annual Convention.

NCA's IDEA Council is offering all students who qualify a travel grant of up to $300. Grant amount is dependent on the number of applicants. 

To qualify for the grant, a student must be:

  • An active NCA student member
  • Signed up for at least one NCA caucus
  • Registered and attend the NCA annual convention in New Orleans, Louisiana

Deadline to apply is Friday, October 4.

  • Click Apply and Select Student Caucus Travel Grant

Questions should be directed to Dr. Dane S. Claussen, NCA Director of Research, Publications and Professional Advancement at academic@natcom.org. If awarded, students will be notified by email in October. Grants will not be mailed.  


Note: Officers, directors, trustees (the Legislative Assembly and its Executive Committee), key employees, substantial contributors or employees thereof, and grant selection committee members are not eligible to receive grants from NCA. Grant recipients must register for and attend the NCA Annual Convention.
