NCA Participates in Research Exhibition on Capitol Hill

The Coalition for National Science Funding’s (CNSF) 22nd Annual Exhibition and Reception, an event designed to encourage members of Congress to support the National Science Foundation (NSF), was held on April 30. Researchers from across the United States answered questions about their NSF-funded efforts to help meet the nation’s research and education goals.
Communication scholar Joshua B. Barbour of The University of Texas at Austin presented on the work of the Automation Policy and Research Organizing Network (APRON), which advances Communication research focused on the future of data-intensive, automated work. The APRON lab currently focuses on health and health care. Several NCA staff members also attended the event.
