NCA Award Recipients to be Honored at 108th Convention in New Orleans

Washington, DC - November 14, 2022 - Each year, the National Communication Association (NCA) honors the best in academic Communication, presenting awards for outstanding scholarship, teaching, and professional service. The awards recognize a wide range of contributions to the Communication discipline.

This year, more than 30 Communication scholars will receive awards for achievements in categories that include distinguished service, excellent published scholarship, outstanding teaching, and many others.

Recipient will be honored at the NCA 108th convention in New Orleans. With the theme “Honoring PLACE: People, Liberation, Advocacy, Community, and Environment,” more than 4,000 Communication scholars, educators and practitioners are expected to descend on the Big Easy from Nov. 17-20 to attend a slate of thought-provoking seminars and presentations exploring communications’ role in hot-button issues around race, politics, gender, sexuality, and much more.

The NCA Presidential Address and Awards Presentation will begin at 5 p.m. CT on Saturday, Nov. 19, at the Sheraton New Orleans. NCA President Roseann Mandziuk will deliver her Presidential Address followed by presentation of the NCA Awards.
