NCA Journals Going Greener

Journals
February 4, 2021

NCA, in collaboration with its publishing partner, Routledge, Taylor & Francis, is working to decrease the environmental impact of our journals by reducing plastic packaging. Beginning with the next available issue of each of NCA’s 11 journals, the journals will no longer be laminated. In addition, the journals’ back covers will be used for addresses and mailing information to eliminate the need for plastic wrap; this means that some elements, such as tables of contents, will be moved from back cover to the inside of the journal. These changes will lead to a greener publication process for NCA’s journals by reducing the use of materials that are not fully biodegradable and cannot typically be recycled.
