NCA Virtual Chairs’ Summer Institute | June 25-26
Communication department chairs can now register for NCA’s virtual Chairs’ Summer Institute, themed “Leadership Challenges in a Changing World.” Participating department chairs will explore how to cultivate respect and inclusive cultures, how to manage challenges associated with digital learning and socially distanced department communities, how to motivate and mentor faculty, and more! NCA Virtual Doctoral Honors Seminar | July 14-16
Doctoral students can now apply to take part in NCA’s virtual Doctoral Honors Seminar, which provides the opportunity for promising doctoral students to work with distinguished Communication faculty members. The seminar features three tracts: Mass Communication/Media Studies, Social Science, and Rhetoric and Performance Studies. Interested students can learn more about the faculty mentors and apply here. NCA Virtual Institute for Faculty Development | July 14-20
NCA’s virtual Institute for Faculty Development, also known as the “Hope Conference,” provides the opportunity for undergraduate Communication faculty to learn about new directions in theory and pedagogy and to develop new course area expertise. Registration will be heavily discounted this year. Both NCA members and non-members will be able to register for just $50. Learn more about the conference and register here.
