Many Ph.D. students are now pursuing careers outside of academia. To facilitate conversations around topics related to “alt-ac” careers, NCA co-sponsored the “#AltAC in COM: Exploring Career Options Beyond the Academy for Communication Ph.D.s” workshop series. The series, which was funded by an NCA Advancing the Discipline Grant, included three sessions in April:
- #AltAC: From Academy to Industry
- On Being a Professional Researcher
- “Pracademics” and Administrators
